Awoke this morning just look at my phone and saw that I didn't have any emails sitting waiting for me in my notification bar. This is a big thing for me because it generally dictates how my day is going to do. It was like 10 am. I just thought to myself "Well, that doesn't seem right." My last email was one from when I was awake, which was just a receipt from Google Play. Immediately, I go into technical support mode and I restart my phone. Then there is nothing still when I refresh my Gmail app (also I have two different email accounts synced which is another reason I thought it was impossible not to have a single email). I tap directly into the modem by typing the 192.168... number (I told you technical support mode.) I rebooted it from the inside. Still nothing... I think to myself...I have to do this in proper order. I'm not thinking straight because I just woke up. I reset myself mentally and I open my browser on my phone to my Gmail from there. I log on and see clear as day I just have NOT gotten any emails. No great internet outage. No phone issues. No app errors. I just haven't received a single message. Yes, that is a first for me.
The moral of the story is I am not as popular as I like to believe lol. There will be days I don't get 50 emails to wake up to....and that's okay. The world will not end. I am just going to sit back and enjoy my day....while my eye twitches cause I don't know what to do with myself.

It looks like I haven't been posting, but that is because I have started a couple things and have not delivered. I will probably have to back burner one of my little projects because I can't afford to do it now *sigh*. Also I have decided to break my madness down into three parts so I don't seem quite as scattered as I really am. I shall keep the random makeup insanity and general day to day here. I am putting my anime, video, games into my Otaku Vixen blog (http://otakuvixen.blogspot.com). I have decided to take all of my random wedding stuff in my blog The Offbeat Bride (http://theoffbeatbride.blogspot.com/). So yay organization!
I think I am going to go through my MUA case and see what rants and raves I can pull out of there. I have yet to do a single makeup look and I truly do have to apologize for that. (Mostly to myself because I love playing in my makeup.) I have been working out more lately, so more time is spent sweating than primping. I just need to find some balance and get use to it. The other day I couldn't even laugh because my stomach muscles ached so hard....which leads me to my next announcement....
I am going to attempt to enlist in the military once I make weight. I am just going to be honest. I hate the thought of losing my booty. That's like a black girls second crown. The first one is of course her hair lol. It is required because I am just trying to make the body fat requirements first. I am not going to tell my mom or anybody until I know for sure that I am going. I am just going to focus on working out. I already know that I will murder the ASVAB. Last time I took it I got like a 75 which mean I can get pretty much any job that I want...almost...there are other random requirements obviously depending on MOS.
My main motivation for enlisting is to further my education, repay my student loans, and getting out of debt. I hope that it could be a career move for me. I won't know until I am actually experiencing it. I hope to enlist in the Army by the way. I probably should have said that first lol. I have the determination. I just need to be patient. That is my main goal, but luckily I have nothing else to do. Well this has been my little update...

My loving boyfriend of three years asked me about the type of engagement ring that I want. I know that a lot of people might find that hard to understand, but we pretty much know we are getting married the secret is just when he is going to propose. But I am a very non-traditional bride, so it is kind of one of those things that he was very wise to ask about. I don't even want to wear a white dress at my wedding. Just keep in mind these are all my opinion and my style, or if your my boyfriend a how-to guide for ring shopping.

Allow me to introduce you to my favorite is the "almost, but not quite a diamond" look: White Topaz. I like white topaz because if you are like me and like a little size, this is a way to achieve it without having to take out a second mortgage. Diamonds are a girls best friend, and white topaz is like your favorite cousin. After that is pretty much any other color topaz. It comes in such gorgeous colors, there is definitely a hue out there for the unconventional bride.

There are gorgeous yellows. I think that with the right metal to back them up they can create a great regal effect. I have seen a ring that was absolutely gorgeous, but I can't find anything like it on the internet to share. I highly recommend that you give this one a chance and see what options you can find. You may be pleasantly surprised.

One thing I have inherited from my father is his love of lemon cakes. So, because I love to bake (I told you you I collect hobbies) I am going to share a quick recipe I found on the internet. Unfortunately, I have to say that I haven't tried this one personally. Not yet, but it is a two ingredient recipe... shouldn't too complicated. Right?
Easy Peasy Lemon Bars
1 Box Angel Food Cake
2 Cans Lemon Pie Filing
Confectioner sugar (optional)
Mix dry cake mix and cans of pie filling together in a bowl.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until top is starting to brown.
Decorate with a light dusting of confectioners sugar (optional)
If anyone tries it before me let me know how they turn out!

Did I forget to mention that I am a huge nerd? Yeah, I am not really good at introductions so I can see how that slipped my mind. Anywho, I am recommending on of my favorite animes of all time Blue Exorcist (Ao No Exorcist if you were like me and watched it with subtitles). The story here is really good. The gist of it is there are these two boys who are taken in by a priest. They grow up years later and one of the brothers discovers that he has demonic powers. Oh and their father is none other than Satan himself. How jacked up is that to find out? I have to say that this one will hold your attention. It has action, comedy, and the occasional tender moment. I am giving this one a 9/10. Honestly it only gets a 9 because I want more episodes. I just wasn't ready to be done with the series. That may not sound fair, but it's my rating system lol. If you are an anime fan and haven't seen it, you should!

This is just me pointing out something that I have noticed about myself recently. I have customized my blogger about 3 times in the last 24 hours. It is not natural. That's one of the reasons I love Android phones (no offense to any other phone types out there...just personal preference like bananas over apples) I also want to throw it out there that I have the greatest phone ever (Samsung Galaxy Note 2). But seriously, I can't keep a background on my blogger long enough to save my life. It's just because it's new to me, so I want to play with it.
